"From my glass studio I am surrounded by the beautiful nature of National Park the Nieuwe Dordtse Biesbosch. Here in this quiet environment, I live in my own world. Water and water life intrigue and amaze me and play an important role in my inspiration and design.

The working process is exciting and difficult due to the special properties of glass and the application of the complex technical methods in glass processing. This leads not only to many experiments, but also to sometimes unintended and unexpected results, which stimulate me to further deepening in my work.

Balancing between my idea, design or applied technique, my objects are sometimes hushed and subdued. Other objects are tough, dynamic and expressive. But I always try, by additives in the glass itself, to make an inner world visible that refers to the grandeur and fragility of our miraculous nature."
